While the process involves various medical and legal steps, our team provides comprehensive support to ensure a smooth and positive experience. Compensation for Surrogates
- Base Compensation
Our base compensation, ranging from $25,000 to $70,000, is competitive and reflects the importance of your role. It provides financial support for your commitment and effort throughout the surrogacy journey.
- Monthly Allowance
Each month, surrogates receive an allowance of $250 to cover any miscellaneous expenses. This means you have the financial flexibility to manage daily needs related to the pregnancy without stress.
- Medication Start Fee
When you begin taking prescribed medications, you receive a special fee of $750. This helps cover extra costs related to starting your medical preparations.
- Multiple Pregnancy
If you carry multiples, your compensation increases to $9,000 – $16,500 per fetus. This recognizes the additional effort and care needed during a multiple pregnancy.
- Maternity Clothing Allowance
During pregnancy, you will need comfortable and appropriate maternity clothing. We provide an allowance of $1,000 specifically for this, so you can focus on your well-being.
- Embryo Transfer Procedure
The embryo transfer is a crucial part of the process. You’ll receive compensation of $1,000 for each transfer attempt, covering the time and effort involved.
- Mock Cycle
Before the actual transfer, a mock cycle may be conducted to guarantee your body is ready. Compensation of $750 is provided for this important preparatory step.
- Canceled Cycle
Sometimes, cycles may need to be canceled. If this happens, you are still compensated $500 for your time and effort during that cycle if injectable medications have started.
- Invasive Procedures
Any necessary invasive procedures during the surrogacy process are compensated at $1,250. This ensures that you are supported through every medical step.
- Loss of Organs
In rare cases, surrogacy can involve significant health risks, just as any pregnancy. If such a situation arises, you are compensated appropriately for any serious medical consequences: $1,000 per ovary or fallopian tube, $2,000 for loss of the uterus and ovaries remain, and $5,000 for loss of the uterus and ovaries.
- Cesarean Delivery
If a cesarean delivery is required, you receive additional compensation of $3,500. This acknowledges the extra recovery time and care needed after the procedure.
- Carrier’s Lost Wages
Surrogacy may require taking time off work. We provide compensation for any lost wages, making sure of your financial stability throughout the process. Compensation is based on paycheck verification.
- Carrier’s Spouse/Partner Lost Wages
If your spouse or partner needs to take time off work to support you, they are also compensated for any lost wages. This helps maintain household financial stability. Compensation is based on paycheck verification.
- Housekeeping
During pregnancy, managing household chores can be challenging. We offer housekeeping compensation of $100 per week to help keep your home running smoothly should you be ordered to bed rest per physician’s orders.
- Childcare
If needed, and outside of normal school or daycare hours, you receive compensation for childcare at $20 per hour during medical appointments or bed rest periods should it be necessary. This ensures your children are well cared for while you focus on your health.
- Travel
Traveling for medical appointments is often necessary. We provide travel compensation at $0.65 per mile or cover exact costs of flights and hotel accommodations, making sure you can attend appointments without financial strain.
