Egg Donor Process

Considering egg donation? It’s a way to help a family grow and bring joy to a couple. At Carrying Dreams, we understand the emotions involved and are here to guide you. Our experienced team will answer your questions and support you through every step.

About Becoming an Egg Donor

Becoming an egg donor is a meaningful act of compassion and generosity. It allows you to profoundly impact a family’s life, offering them the chance to experience the joy of parenthood. This journey is about more than the medical process; it’s about making dreams come true and creating lasting connections.

By donating your eggs, you give hope to those struggling with infertility, providing them with the possibility of having a child. The experience is deeply rewarding, knowing that your selfless contribution has helped build a family and changed lives forever.

How It Works

  • Application and Interview

To become an egg donor, fill out the application and profile with your demographics, education, family, and health history, photos, and a video. After submission, a Zoom call will be scheduled to explain the process and finalize paperwork. Once live, our team will match you with Intended Parents.

  • Medical Screening

When matched with recipients, you’ll undergo psychological screening and consult a geneticist about your family history. Next, a medical assessment at the Intended Parents’ clinic includes meeting the medical team, blood work, STD and genetic testing, and an ultrasound.

  • Legal Agreement

Once medically cleared, attorneys draft an agreement between you and the recipients, with your attorney provided at no cost. The donor contract is straightforward and quick to complete, and we assist in choosing an attorney if needed.

  • Cycle Calendar

After legal documents are signed, your clinic coordinator schedules your cycle dates. The calendar includes medication start, appointment, and travel dates if necessary, as well as the estimated retrieval date.

  • Medications and Retrieval

Upon starting the cycle calendar, you’ll take medications for 10-12 days, with appointments every 2-3 days until the retrieval date. This phase marks the final preparation for egg retrieval.
